History Of Zions Bank
Zions Bank, originally established as The Utah State National Bank of Salt Lake City on July 6, 1873, has undergone several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In 1949, it became known as Utah First National Bank of Salt Lake City, followed by a rebranding to First National Bank of Salt Lake City in 1952. The institution adopted the name Zions First National Bank in 1957. Zions Bank expanded its footprint through numerous acquisitions, including Sandy State Bank in 1988 and various other regional banks in the 1990s, such as Wasatch Bank and California Bank & Trust. In 2001, it acquired Draper Bank and Trust, and further expanded its operations by acquiring several institutions on December 31, 2015, including Amegy Bank in Houston, Nevada State Bank in Las Vegas, and California Bank & Trust in San Diego. Subsequent to this growth, Zions Bank formally changed its institution name to ZB, National Association on January 1, 2016. On September 30, 2018, the institution rebranded once more to Zions Bancorporation, National Association, reflecting its broader corporate identity within the financial services landscape. I am totally displeased and have been lied to from this branch. I had sizable check deposited now 10 days ago that has yet to hit my account. I was told it would be there by the end of today. I am a long-time customer of Zions Bank (like 40 years). This is my first complaint I just went through the drive-up to cash a check at the Foothill location. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. The teller made me feel like I was unwelcome and actually putting her out to help me.
