History Of Your Community Bank

Your Community Bank has its origins dating back to its establishment on May 1, 1934, under the name Community First Federal Savings and Loan Association. The institution underwent several name changes and organizational transitions throughout its history. In July 1989, it became known as Community Savings Bank, FSB, and transitioned to a Mutual Savings Bank format. By February 1991, it had changed its organization type to a Stock Savings Bank and subsequently moved its main office to New Albany, Indiana. In 1995, the bank rebranded as Community Bank of Southern Indiana, F.S.B., and further adapted in December 1996 to Community Bank of Southern Indiana while also becoming a commercial bank regulated by the FDIC. The bank continued to grow through acquisitions, including the purchase of Heritage Bank of Southern Indiana in March 2002 and Community Bank of Kentucky, Inc. in December 2003. By October 2005, it adopted the name Your Community Bank. In April 2013, it acquired First Federal Bank in Lexington, Kentucky, through a government-assisted merger. This growth trajectory culminated in significant mergers: in August 2015, it acquired First Federal Savings Bank of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, followed by the acquisition of The Scott County State Bank in Scottsburg, Indiana, later that year. On September 10, 2016, Your Community Bank merged with WesBanco Bank, Inc., and this merger was finalized with the institution's name change to WesBanco Bank, Inc. on January 24, 2017.
