YNB, originally established as The Yukon National Bank on April 19, 1912, underwent significant changes in its regulatory status and banking classification on June 21, 2012. On this date, the institution changed its name to YNB, withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, and became regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Additionally, it transitioned to a state-chartered bank and officially ceased to be a member of the Federal Reserve System, with the state acting as its chartering agency. Prior to these changes, on February 1, 2006, YNB expanded its operations by acquiring Peoples Bank in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
