Western State Bank is a financial institution established on October 1, 1902, under the original name Bank of Webster. The bank changed its name to Western State Bank on January 17, 1968, coinciding with its relocation to 413 Third Street in Devils Lake, North Dakota. It subsequently moved its main office to 110 Fourth Street in Devils Lake on October 24, 1972. Over the years, Western State Bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, including the purchase of State Bank of Towner in Towner, North Dakota, on June 9, 1997, and Central Arizona Bank in Scottsdale, Arizona, on May 14, 2013, as part of a government-assisted merger. Most recently, the main office was relocated to 110 Fourth Street Southeast in Devils Lake, North Dakota, on December 31, 2021.
