History Of Western Bank
Western Bank, originally established as Western State Bank of St. Paul on June 11, 1915, underwent several name and regulatory changes throughout its history. In December 1996, the institution changed its name to Western Bank. On May 18, 2013, the bank rebranded itself as Western Bank, National Association, and on the same day, it also moved its main office to 663 University Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Ultimately, on September 1, 2015, Western Bank merged with American National Bank, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
