West Texas National Bank is a financial institution that was established on September 24, 1979, originally operating under the name First National Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes and relocations. On March 20, 2000, it changed its name to Fnb Bank and became a state-chartered bank regulated by the Federal Reserve System. Subsequently, on January 19, 2001, the bank acquired the West Texas National Bank in Alpine, Texas, rebranding itself to West Texas National Bank, and transitioned to a national bank charter regulated by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The main office moved to 101 East Avenue E in Alpine on the same date.
