Over the years of my life I've banked with many different institutions. None so great as Washington Trust Bank in Lewiston. Once I had a bank lose my money, thousands. Once I let an account dormant, and then they stole my money. All $2.50 I won't mention names, they already live with their reputations. Now then we have Washington Trust Bank. An accurate banking system with friendly people. Highly secure. Once someone in Japan tried to use my card number. They denied the charge and canceled my card immediately. You can't get any better security than that. I don't speak Japanese. I just drove downtown to the drive-up window and they handed me my new card. I knew I had my favorite bank. Another instance.... I called them on the phone to help me navigate their website. I spoke with Brianna. She walked me through the process. Very friendly. I finally met her at the drive-up window a few days back. She's a beautiful person. Washington Trust Bank is lucky to have her. End of story.
No complaints about head office but the lady working at the Deer Park Branch I would like to say a few things. I have been a customer at Washington Trust for 4 years and usually get paid on Friday but sometimes on Thursday. There has been numerous times I have deposited my check and never had a issue whether it was dated for the next day. I live 30 mi from my bank. This lady is the only one I have a problem with a this particular Bank in Deer Park. I believe she is the one in charge at Deer park. She has darker hair in her late 40's. I had to walk 13 mi today because I ran out of gas because she says she can't cash my check. I politely explained my situation to her today at 447 pm and not only was she extremely rude to me but also acted as if to belittle me after I told her that I would not make it home. She has also cashed my checks a day early really just about 8 hours if we're being technical. She shouldn't be rude and should be understanding and sympathetic. I believe I will go to social media about this and see how others would have dealt with same situation. Sincerely Travis Russell
For many years we banked with a Credit Union, until we moved to Idaho. Washington Trust Bank was the third financial institution we called when we moved here last March. We were looking for a bank that offered fee free, no minimum balance accounts for Seniors.
The little gal we spoke with (Alex) said they didn't have a "Senior" account, but did have a no fee, no minimum balance account. We went to the branch that day and opened our account.
They are the most friendly, welcoming people I've ever had the pleasure of working with (so refreshing for a bank). We will be starting the process of transferring all our transactions to Washington Trust Bank from our Credit Union account on the coast.
I hav never delt with a friendlier bank. They are so helpful.. Any time I have a problem, They take time to help and they are so sweet about it. They watch my account and make sure it is me using my card. Love this bank. and all the employes. Thak you all;.
