History Of Washington State Bank
Washington State Bank was established on April 18, 1932, originally under the name Washington State Bank. The institution became a member of the Federal Reserve System on November 14, 1935. However, on May 21, 1979, it withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System. Following a period outside of the Fed, Washington State Bank rejoined as a member on November 19, 1996, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve on the same date. The main office was relocated to 121 South Marion Avenue in Washington, Iowa, on March 31, 2006, after moving from its previous location on Main Street in Washington, Iowa, on December 30, 1989. Most recently, on November 1, 2015, Washington State Bank acquired Columbus Junction State Bank in Columbus Junction, Iowa.
