History Of Village Bank and Trust
Village Bank and Trust, based in Arlington Heights, Illinois, has undergone several name changes and regulatory transitions since its inception. Established on May 8, 1995, as Northwest Community Bank, the institution changed its name to Village Bank and Trust Arlington Heights on October 16, 1999. On June 25, 2001, the main office was relocated to 311 South Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. The bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System on September 17, 2004, at which time it also changed its classification to a state-chartered bank and shifted its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. Following an acquisition of First Northwest Bank on May 23, 2005, the institution rebranded itself as Village Bank and Trust and moved its main office again to 234 West Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, Illinois. On October 1, 2019, the bank transitioned to a national banking charter and adopted the name Village Bank and Trust, National Association.
