History Of Verimore Bank
Verimore Bank, originally established as Brookfield Federal Savings and Loan Association on May 1, 1934, has undergone several name changes and organizational transformations over the decades. In 1986, it was renamed First Missouri Federal Savings and Loan Association. Subsequently, in 1994, the institution rebranded as First Missouri National Bank and transitioned to a commercial bank while becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System and changing its regulatory agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In December 2011, the bank changed its name to First Missouri Bank, switched its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve, and became a state-chartered bank. The main office was relocated to 300 West Lockling in Brookfield, Missouri, on August 2, 2007. Most recently, on August 29, 2022, the institution adopted its current name, Verimore Bank. In December 2012, Verimore Bank expanded its operations by acquiring Citizens Bank of Blythedale in Blythedale, Missouri.
