VeraBank, National Association, is a financial institution established on March 28, 1930, originally named Citizens National Bank of Henderson. The bank underwent a name change to Citizens National Bank in 1994 and later adopted the name VeraBank, National Association on January 22, 2019. Throughout its history, VeraBank has expanded through a series of acquisitions, including notable purchases such as Jefferson National Bank in Jefferson, Texas in December 1998, and Peoples State Bank in Henderson, Texas in October 2001. The bank continued to grow by acquiring multiple institutions in the following years, including White Oak State Bank in White Oak, Texas in February 2013, and The East Texas National Bank of Palestine in Palestine, Texas in September 2013. In 2016, VeraBank expanded further by acquiring Kilgore National Bank in Kilgore, Texas. Other acquisitions include Union State Bank in Florence, Texas in November 2018 and Panola National Bank in Carthage, Texas in August 2021. People get fired all the time for someone elses comfort level. It doesn't matter if you have small children at home, or that the uncomfortable one has had issues with.a good many other co-workers. It's ridiculous that main branch lobby closes at 4. I literally had to have my student miss a class so we could go set up his checking account. They get out at 3:40, and by the time we get there you're closed and closed Saturday too. It's enough to make me consider Texas Bank. Very frustrated.... Read more
