Vantage Bank Texas, originally established as The First National Bank of Refugio on November 6, 1923, has undergone several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In 2007, it was renamed San Antonio National Bank, and in February 2012, it rebranded as Vantage Bank Texas, National Association. On August 3, 2013, the bank moved its main office to San Antonio, Texas, and underwent additional changes, including a shift in its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve and becoming a state-chartered bank. Vantage Bank Texas continued its growth strategy by acquiring D'Hanis State Bank in October 2014, followed by the acquisition of Inter National Bank in McAllen, Texas, on November 20, 2018.
