U.S. Bank, originally established as The First National Bank of Cincinnati on July 13, 1863, has undergone significant transformations and expansions throughout its history. In 1991, the institution rebranded as Star Bank, National Association, with its main office relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio. The bank proceeded to acquire numerous other institutions, most notably transitioning to Firstar Bank in 1999.
