United Prairie Bank is a financial institution established on July 21, 1919, originally named Farmers State Bank of Mountain Lake. The bank underwent several changes and expansions over the decades, including a name change to United Prairie Bank on February 25, 1992. In 1985, the bank acquired Farmers State Bank of Round Lake and later expanded its footprint by acquiring The First National Bank of Wilmont in 1987. A significant period of growth occurred in 2006 when United Prairie Bank acquired multiple branches, including those in Jackson, Madison, New Ulm, Slayton, Owatonna, and Spicer on June 10 and May 6 of that year. The main office moved to its current location at 1141 Third Avenue, Mountain Lake, Minnesota, on May 6, 2009.
