United Community Bank was established in 1912 under the name Farmers State Bank of Leeds. The bank underwent significant changes in 1990 when it relocated its main office to Main Street in Leeds, North Dakota. In 1997, the bank changed its name to United Community Bank of North Dakota and further expanded its operations by acquiring another entity in Burlington, North Dakota, on January 1 of that year. Shortly thereafter, the main office was moved to 105 Central Avenue South in Leeds. The bank continued to operate under its established name until October 9, 2023, when it merged with Bravera Bank, with the merger taking place in Dickinson, North Dakota.
