History Of United Bank & Trust
United Bank & Trust, originally established as United Bank & Trust National Association on June 21, 2002, began its operations with a focus on providing banking and trust services. On June 21, 2002, the institution expanded its capabilities by acquiring full trust powers. In a significant transition in its regulatory structure, on March 31, 2022, United Bank & Trust withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System and subsequently changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). This change also resulted in the classification of the bank as a state-chartered institution, no longer affiliated with the Federal Reserve System.
