History Of United Bank
United Bank, originally established as Little River Savings and Loan Association in Ashdown, Arkansas, on January 1, 1978, underwent several changes throughout its history. In 1986, the institution changed its name to United Federal Savings Bank and transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank under the chartering authority of the Office of Thrift Supervision. The bank moved its main office to 2600 South Thompson, Springdale, Arkansas, on August 15, 1989. In 1995, it adopted the name United Bank. A significant regulatory shift occurred on July 21, 2011, when its primary federal regulatory agency changed to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
