Union State Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1903, under the original name of Union State Bank. In its early years, the bank focused on serving the local community and developing a stable banking presence. On December 20, 1982, Union State Bank expanded by acquiring Union State Bank in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. Subsequently, on December 28, 1987, it acquired both New Farmers and Merchants Bank of Ashville and Farmers and Merchants Bank of Ashville, further solidifying its footprint in the region. The bank continued to grow by acquiring Premier Community Bank of South Florida in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on August 13, 2004.
