History Of Union Community Bank

Union Community Bank, originally established as Province Bank Fsb on September 12, 2000, began operations as a federal and state savings and loan institution. Over the years, it underwent several significant changes, including a reorganization of its classification to Stock Savings & Loan on the same day it was established. On May 6, 2011, Union Community Bank acquired Union National Community Bank located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and subsequently changed its name to Union Community Bank Fsb. After relocating its main office to Lancaster, it transitioned to an FDIC Supervised State Savings Bank and modified its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On June 28, 2013, the institution rebranded once more to Union Community Bank and moved its main office to 101 East Main Street, Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. In this period, it also shifted its regulatory oversight to the FDIC. Finally, on March 8, 2019, Union Community Bank merged with Northwest Bank, based in Warren, Pennsylvania.
