History Of Union Bank
Union Bank, Inc. is a financial institution with a history dating back to its establishment on July 5, 1947, originally named Tyler County Bank, Inc. The bank underwent several transformations over the years, including a name change to Tyler County Bank, Inc. on June 21, 1977, when its main office was relocated to 107 Dodd Street in Middlebourne, West Virginia. On January 3, 1984, the bank changed its name to Union Bank of Tyler County and acquired The Union National Bank of Sistersville the same day, also expanding its trust powers to full. The institution adopted the name Union Bank, Inc. on March 1, 2002. A significant event in its history occurred on September 15, 2007, when Union Bank acquired The First National Bank of St. Marys located in St. Marys, West Virginia.
