Hey there, fellow netizens! Buckle up because I've got a story that's juicier than the latest TikTok drama. So, you're thinking about banking with Umpqua, huh? Well, let me stop you right there before you make a colossal mistake.
Picture this: you waltz into Umpqua's branch, expecting top-notch service, but instead, you must be attacked by Marbella Bare, the supposed manager who's about as helpful as a broken smartphone screen. This ilk is so self-absorbed, she probably takes more selfies than she does actual work. And don't even get me started on her customer service skills – they're about as nonexistent as my chances of becoming a professional Fortnite player.
But wait, it gets better. So, I'm standing there, telling her I drove from downtown Beaverton specifically so a manager could assist me, when one of the laziest employees had the audacity to tell me I can make an appointment because both the store manager and assistant manager are on the phone. Seriously? Last time I checked, not even the President of the United States travels with the Vice President, but Marbella here thinks she's more important than the leader of the free world. Talk about delusions of grandeur!
Now, I don't know about you, but I didn't sign up for this level of absurdity when I decided to open an account. I mean, I'd rather binge-watch cat videos on YouTube for hours than deal with Marbella and her band of merry slackers.
So, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Marbella Bare, her lackluster branch, and Umpqua bank altogether. Trust me, your sanity will thank you later. And who knows, maybe Cort OHaver CEO/president will finally get Marbella to realize that customer service isn't just a buzzword – it's a way of life.
For those thinking about opening an account at this bank, especially this branch...DO NOT, I repeat run as fast as you can, go to Key Bank Tanasbourne Branch and ask for, Jesus Jimenez INCREDIBLE customer service! Marbella Bare, WOW Umpqua what were you thinking when you hired this self absorbed, power hungry, entitled, incompetent store manager? It's obvious to this store's GOOGLE rating of 2! I worked in banking for over 15 years, received the highest award possible "Achieving Excellence" for providing the highest level of customer satisfaction the bank had EVER had. I did that by taking care of my customers. I NEVER escalated, nor antagonized an already upset customer NEVER. My superior customer service awards, prompted corporate to place me in branches that were closing, in order to maintain customer retention. Marbella Bare lazily sitting at her desk, as all the employees were...not a customer in the branch, and she wouldn't help me, BECAUSE SHE WAS ON A BANK TRAINING CALL...for the record, I drove from downtown Beaverton, to this branch (which is where I opened my account) to get assistance. Banking 101...the customer that comes to the branch is ALWAYS the most important...hmmmmm I guess Marbella Bare missed that training session! HER BANK TRAINING CALL WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE CUSTOMER THAT DROVE MILES IN TRAFFIC TO GET THERE! Then when I asked for the district manager's name, her response was, "yes call her and tell her your story then I will tell her mine!" Yes Marbella, you tell your district manager Kim Handisker your story, and I will continue for eternity to tell every soul I know to STAY AWAY FROM YOU, YOUR BRANCH, AND UMPQUA. Mark my words, because the truth ALWAYS reveals itself... MARBELLA BARE HAS BEEN GETTING AWAY WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A LONG TIME!
The Staff is so friendly and helpful. Very efficient and the Manager Diana is amazing. If I ever have an issue she takes care of it right away!

I sent a letter to your corporate office regarding a civil/consumer rights complaint I filed with Better Business Bureau against your Marysville, Ca bank in April 2000. Again, I received a shotty email template from your "representative" stating how "important" my "feedback" is and how "seriously" Umpqua bank takes these kind of things. I am beyond appalled at how this matter "HAS NOT" been handled. Representatives of your bank have crossed lines professionally, legally and morally; and nothing has been done. I received an apology letter stating your staff would be better trained...blah blah blah...went back into the bank and was related worse. This is basically a heads up. I plan on moving forward with a civil suit against Umpqua bank. I made an effort to resolve this issue outside of the courts. However, it is obvious that I, as a customer, are not a priority to your company. I will most likely get a judgement in my favor as your Marysville bank representatives have already submitted an apology letter through BBB. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH simpler to resolve this matter without going to court but that is what I am prepared to do. I will not let this go so that the reps atbthatbbank feel free to treat anyone else as poorly and unprofessionally as they did me. If you care to look into it the info is:

These are really nice people to do business with. I have bank here for more years than I can remember, probably over close to 30 years. If you're looking for a bank, give them a try! I think you'll be as happy with them as I have- Tom Lamothe
Again I can not get a hold of anybody at the bank. Myself I can't go there, I can not drive can not walk, my caregver is here on Saturday only. It certainly used to be much easier to do my banking before you got so "modern". You have lost the personal touch, which I liked. Inga M.Gant

The Ontario Branch is a complete disaster, unhelpful, rude, lazy, cry babies. Even worse now that they bow down to Covid rules,. lobby is always closed, even after the level was put back to normal. They make it very hard to do business with them. I am done.
Nastyladys horrible service. Lied to us twice now not going to be a third time closing our acct asap. Never again.
I am an Invalid and have been calling the M. Point Bank for 3 days trying to get ahold of somebody, anybody. Your phone system stinks.
