History Of TrustCo Bank
TrustCo Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1925, originally named Canajoharie Building, Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and organizational transformations. On April 1, 1997, it changed its name to Landmark Community Bank and switched its regulatory framework to a mutual savings bank structure. In 1998, the main office was relocated to 211 Erie Boulevard in Canajoharie, New York. By July 28, 2000, the institution rebranded itself as TrustCo Savings Bank. The bank continued to evolve, acquiring Trustco Bank, National Association on November 15, 2002, and subsequently adopting the name TrustCo Bank. On that same date, the main office was moved to 1 Sarnowski Drive in Glenville, New York. The bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision in 2002, which was subsequently reformed into the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011. They don't do the right things, My husband banked there for many years. He passed away in June 2024. Yes my name is on the account. They thought it would be a good Idea to put a hold on the bank account with out notifying me.
