I reviewed my accounts on Oct 30 and discovered that numerous auto payments were declined. I called Truist and found out my credit card had been cancelled on Oct 24. I never told anyone to cancel my card! On Oct 30 I was told that I would hear back regarding my card being reinstated. I had not heard back from you so I called today (Nov 4) and after a 45-minute phone conversation I was told that my card was approved to be reactivated on Nov 1, but this process would take about 7 days. So, I'll be without a credit card for 2 to 3 weeks because Truist screwed up!
Your branch personnel are great. Corporate personnel are the worst!
My brother in law is mentally disabled since birth. His wife died and then her niece drained their account of every cent. His payments for owed obligations after drained the account put the account into a severe deficit. A police report was filed. The transaction report clearly shows she used the account money without authorization. A copy of the death certificate and police report were submitted to Truist. They denied the fraud claim then denied the appeal then denied the inquiry from Consumer Fraud Protection. Think twice before using Truist.
I cannot believe that a major bank in the 22nd century does not have a call center operating on Sunday.
I have spent the last 1/12 hours attempting to get a general phone number for corporate headquarters. I have called the general 'account holders' number' twice spoke to an individual, asked to speak to an supervisor and told that the supervisor is calling me right now. Incorrect, I also called 7 phone numbers affiliated with truist. They are all message lines and have nothing to do with directing you to a corporate phone number. It appears that corporate does not know nor care about its customers. If anyone knows the general phone number for truist, please let me know.
I have never had a problem talking to someone at this bank or having to wait any length of time, and I like this bank a lot better than any I have used in the past 😊
Best employee is Brenda Hunt, she can solve any problem!
Excellent service! No complaints!
Very good service and excellent staff. Lee Ross, long time customer.
The whole company has gone to shit since Suntrust merged with BB&T. Suntrust was great, and BB&T is just an old good old boys country club bank. Bring back Suntrust!
I'm not sure what's going on with this branch but there seems to be new tellers there every time I go in.
I walk my dog there and often don't have any ID with me. These new tellers always ask for some sort of ID. I will now have to bring some sort of ID with me but the bigger concern is why this branch can't keep good tellers. I will be looking for another more stable branch.
If it was possible to leave a zero star review, I would have left negative 10, worst customer service, very amateur, I honestly didn't feel I was in the states, because the whole customer service and the way they handle things up there to me seemed like im in some type of third world country . Horrible bank,! I have been foe years with suntrust, im extremely disappointed, as soon as I manage my payments and all other things linked to my checking account, I will end relationship with this bank once and for all. It all started with the safebox that I have had for years, so last year I decided to close it, and I spoke to one of the manages up there, and she explained that it will be charges for the missing key, after I mentioned to her that I lost my car keys and house key including the safebox one, so I only had one key, long story short, I agreed to the fees , so six months later, I got a notification of $40 fees taken out of my checking account and I think it was for the safebox closure, so I went to the branch at dr phillips and I was surprised that they said your safebox is still active, and they told me you have to go back to the kirkman branch to fix the problem so I ended up paying $65 to close the safe box that I haven't used in over a year, im so done with this bank, I have never been happy with them anyway, I have closed my savings account and my kids'. As well, I do not recommend this bank to anybody, they need to start hiring competent people first if they want to keep their customers, this is a joke.
I'm a new client of just a couple of weeks. I love this place already!!! The customer service makes you want to move in! REALLY! All of the ladies here are so sweet and kind! They're so helpful and knowledgeable! I'd walked in with many questions about some options. I walked out with all of my issues resolved! I'm so happy to have found such a wonderful place to do my banking! Did I mention how awesome the ladies are!!!? You've got to go in there and meet them! I'm so glad they're here!
I just don't know what is going on at Truist bank. The little money I have they keep charging me $36.00 overdraft fee, when my account is positive. They did it twice in one day, which caused my account to go into overdraft. I called today, Saturday, Sept 30, 2023. The customer service listened to my concerns, then hung up the phone. O! my Lord! I saw the problems they had taking folks money on the new, why didn't I listen. Dear Lord!!!. This is the third time this happened, so now I say, it is deliberate.
Horrible ! Only one teller on a Friday afternoon to handle drive up and inside. They messed up my deposit in drive up. I went inside and receive no help was told they were confused w what I wanted to do
Poor customer service ! I tried to call the bank to speak to the manager and the website listed a number no longer in service. I was with Sun Trust for over 60 years. I will be changing banks now that truist took over!
I initiated a cash transfer to another bank and come to find out the transfer never materialized after I sat with the agent in the bank for an hour.
I have two accounts with Truist which total $21,000. These accounts are never used and the money just sits there. I check the balance at least once per year. These accounts were originally in BB&T and I have held them for over a decade with no problems.
Upon checking my balance in September 2023, I noticed fraudulent charges on a debit card in one of my accounts. I don't use either of these accounts and have never used the debit card that Truist sent me when they merged BB&T. The company making the fraudulent charges is unknown to me and I have no relationship with them. I reported the fraud charges immediately but Truist has denied $89 of the charges because they occurred more than 60 days before I reported the problem. This policy requires the customer to be responsible for the safety of his money. Truist accepts no responsibility for the loss.
I'm an old man and have had many accounts and many banks in my day. Truist is the first bank to lose my money and then refuse to make it right. For all I know Truist employees are stealing money this way. How could anyone know the numbers of my unused debit card? Only an employee could have that access. I accuse Truist employees of stealing my money and giving me no way to recover it short of a law suit.
I only lost a small about of money and it could have been much worse. But I'm forced to pull my money from Truist and take my business elsewhere. I can not trust that Truist is able or even willing to safeguard my money. I've been told in no uncertain terms that my money is not going to be returned to me.
Be careful out there.
So sorry, you guys. I miss SUNTRUST. I gave you all a 3-star rating, namely because while this location has been my HOME BANK LOCATION since 2007, the SUNTRUST employees didn't mind actually answering THEIR phones. And their App was fantastic!!
i just don't believe TRUIST has it as together as you all have had over 4 years to do. I can call the downtown branch and THEY answer, so why can't you people? In any case, if it makes a difference, there's no TRUIST that could ever hold a candle to how great SUNTRUST was.
Three stars because I am a nice person.
Since Truist took over Suntrust, the ATM cannot perform in the most elementary form of operation. I have always had a savings and checking account. When my checking gets to a certain level, it WAS very easy and COMMON to transfer money from savings to checking. Now, Truist does not allow such transfers because they have no savings accounts which can be accessed by their ATM. After many months of explanations from me and discussions with bank employee, there is still no ANSWER OR RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. This is the most unprofessional and unbelievable situation that could exist from a full--service bank in the year 2023. NO EXCUSE!!!
I resided in Georgia and wasn't happy with the service today. The hesitation and extra steps to verify my account was unnecessary. Addition to the comment the Teller stated that," I look funny" which in others words I look suspicious because I was African American. I've been with Truist (Suntrust) for over 20 yrs and I'm considering closing my account.
Only complaint I have is there is no ATM in Chatsworth Ga. So if we need cash we have to drive to Dalton,Ga.
I love this Branch of Truist! The employees are all very accommodating, polite, and friendly. A very pleasant branch to do business with.
Branch manager very competent to stop payment of a cashiers check.
Do NOT bank with this branch. Be careful, management (Laura) uses personal information and unethical practices to keep accounts! Laura and staff at Truist Strawbridge take advantage of customers and small businesses for their own gain; do NOT trust them with personal information and finances! Go to any other Truist, if you must bank with the branch.
By no means is it the banks fault.. I opted out too not deal w writing checks, just a debit bank card, but I was able to retrieve the routing on-line but not my account number the lady gave me a paper account number, in which I lost or someone helped there self to it, but I was searching online that I could retrieve it, but never did, so forget it.. I'll call the bank in morning.. jd
Earlier this week my husband and I opened a new account at the West Sadsbury Branch of Truist Bank located in Parkesburg. I did the preliminary work online, then made an appointment to see Nick Birch later that afternoon to get signatures and present IDs.
It's been a long time since I opened a new bank account, but I do remember waiting...and waiting...and waiting... for the bank officer to meet with me and even then, s/he wasn't prepared and had to find the signature cards, etc. This experience was totally different! Nick was exactly on time, had the paperwork ready for our signatures, explained all the terms and details of the account and made sure that we had his contact information. Later in the week I went to the branch to fund the new account, and was helped by both Alice and Brian. I hadn't met either of them prior to this, but they treated me like an old friend (plus they were very efficient!).
Now I know that I made the right choice in choosing Truist. It will be my CHEERful neighborhood bank "where everyone knows my name."
I just opened an account at the Dunnellon Branch and had help from the nicest young lady. Her name is Heidi Williams. She answered every question about our new account and helped with some CD questions I had.
She made us feel at ease every step of the way. Heidi was well informed and had a great disposition while being very professional. I will recommend her to others who are looking to open new accounts or have questions with Truist Bank. Thanks Heidi! See you soon. John B. Payne Jr.
