TrailWest Bank, established on May 17, 1982, originally operated under the name Bitterroot Valley Bank. Over the years, it has expanded through a series of acquisitions and name changes. On January 1, 2012, TrailWest Bank acquired Ravalli County Bank in Hamilton, Montana. Subsequently, on January 1, 2015, the bank furthered its growth by acquiring West One Bank located in Kalispell, Montana. Following these expansions, the institution changed its name to TrailWest Bank on September 8, 2015.
