History Of Town & Country Bank
Town & Country Bank, originally established as Dent County Bank on January 1, 1894, has undergone several name changes and expansions throughout its history. The institution gained full trust powers on December 28, 1905, and later transformed its name to Dent County Bank & Trust Company on July 19, 1989. Significant growth occurred in the mid-1980s when the bank acquired Reynolds County Savings Bank in Centerville and The Bank of Bunker in Bunker, Missouri, in 1986. In July 2000, the bank adopted its current name, Town & Country Bank, following the acquisition of both Peoples Security Bank in Licking, Missouri, and a second Town & Country Bank in Bourbon, Missouri. On April 8, 2009, Town & Country Bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve System (FRS) and became a member of the system, transitioning to a state-chartered bank.
