Town & Country Bank and Trust Company, originally established as Farmers Bank & Trust Co. on September 9, 1907, is a financial institution located in Bardstown, Kentucky. The bank underwent a significant rebranding on May 25, 2004, when it changed its name to Town & Country Bank and Trust Company. Subsequent to the rebranding, the main office was relocated on March 15, 2005, to 201 North Third Street in Bardstown. Prior to this, the main office had been situated on Main Street in Bardstown since December 31, 1989. In a notable expansion effort, the institution acquired the Bank of New Haven in New Haven, Kentucky, on November 1, 1982. Additionally, on December 14, 1972, the bank withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System and changed its name to Farmers Bank & Trust Co., which reflected its operations at that time.
