History Of TNB Bank

TNB Bank, originally established as Tuscola State Bank in 1890, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. On July 31, 1940, the institution changed its name to Tuscola National Bank and became a national bank under the jurisdiction of The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, gaining membership in the Federal Reserve System. The bank subsequently relocated its main office to 214 North Main Street in Tuscola, Illinois. In 1984, it moved again to 900 South Progress Boulevard, also in Tuscola. A major transition occurred on June 29, 2017, when the institution rebranded as TNB Bank, withdrew from the Federal Reserve System, and changed its regulatory framework to become a state-chartered bank under the supervision of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The bank continued to operate until it merged with TrustBank on March 14, 2022, becoming part of that institution in Olney, Illinois.
