History Of Timberland Bank
Timberland Bank is a financial institution that was established in 1915 under the original name Timberland Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and organizational transformations. In 1989, it changed its name to Timberland Savings Bank, F.S.B., and also transitioned to a mutual savings bank structure. The main office relocated to 624 Simpson Avenue in Hoquiam, Washington, on the same date. In 1991, the bank further refined its organizational structure by changing its name to Timberland Savings Bank, a mutual savings bank, and changing its chartering agency to the state level. In 1998, it again updated its name to Timberland Savings Bank, SSB, shifting to a stock savings bank format. The institution was rebranded as Timberland Bank on January 2, 2001.
