History Of The State Bank of Texas
The State Bank of Texas was established on October 22, 1982, under the original name Antoine National Bank. In November 1994, it changed its name to The State Bank of Texas and transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve while also altering its chartering agency to the state level. In April 2017, the bank merged with Post Oak Bank, N.A., and subsequently changed its institution name to Post Oak Bank, N.A. on the same date. In October 2018, it became part of Allegiance Bank located in Houston, Texas. On February 18, 2023, The State Bank of Texas underwent a final name change to Stellar Bank.
