The State Bank of Blue Rapids was established on August 2, 1871. Initially, it operated under its original name until it underwent significant changes throughout its history. On December 30, 1989, the bank relocated its main office to Main Street in Blue Rapids, Kansas. Following this move, the main office was again relocated on March 31, 2006, to 21 Public Square, also in Blue Rapids, Kansas. Ultimately, on September 9, 2017, The State Bank of Blue Rapids merged with and became part of First Commerce Bank, which is based in Marysville, Kansas.
