The Scott County State Bank

The Scott County State Bank was established in 1890 and served as a financial institution in Scottsburg, Indiana. Over its history, the bank underwent several significant changes. On February 4, 1974, it changed its trust powers to full. The main office was relocated on June 22, 1981, to 125 West McClain Avenue in Scottsburg. In a series of mergers in the mid-2010s, the bank became part of Your Community Bank in New Albany, Indiana, on August 29, 2015. Subsequently, it merged with WesBanco Bank, Inc. in Wheeling, West Virginia, on September 10, 2016. Following this merger, the institution changed its name to WesBanco Bank, Inc. on January 24, 2017.
