The Morris County National Bank was established on August 15, 1893, under the original name The Morris County National Bank of Naples. Over the years, the bank underwent various changes, including the relocation of its main office to several locations in Naples, Texas. On June 15, 1975, the main office was moved to 301 East Main Street, and later, on September 3, 2004, it was relocated again to 101 Wl Doc Dodson East. In a significant change in its corporate structure, The Morris County National Bank merged with The City National Bank of Sulphur Springs, Texas, on January 29, 2021, becoming a part of that institution.
