History Of The Missouri Bank II

The Missouri Bank II was established on January 1, 1891, originally operating under the name The Smithton Bank. Over the years, it underwent several name changes, becoming The Smithton Bank, N.A. on February 6, 1981, and then Central National Bank of Missouri on July 1, 1981. The bank's regulatory oversight shifted from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on November 14, 1986, at which point it also changed its name to Central Bank of Missouri and withdrew from the Federal Reserve System. On March 12, 1996, the institution became a member of the Federal Reserve System, with its primary federal regulatory agency being the Federal Reserve. The bank changed its name to The Missouri Bank II on February 1, 2014. Ultimately, on April 4, 2020, The Missouri Bank II merged with and became part of The Missouri Bank, located in Warrenton, Missouri.
