History Of The Lyons State Bank

The Lyons State Bank was established on May 21, 1938. It underwent changes in its operational structure over the years, including a significant modification on February 1, 1999, when it changed its trust powers to a limited designation. On December 30, 1995, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring The Home National Bank located in Little River, Kansas. Ultimately, on August 9, 2019, The Lyons State Bank merged with and became part of Peoples Bank and Trust Company in McPherson, Kansas.
