History Of The Jamestown State Bank
The Jamestown State Bank was established on January 1, 1898, in Jamestown, Kansas, originally under the same name it later retained. On April 28, 1975, the bank relocated its main office to 422-23 Walnut Street in Jamestown and officially changed its name to The Jamestown State Bank. The bank expanded its operations by acquiring The Randall Bank in Randall, Kansas, on July 16, 1988. After over a century of operation, The Jamestown State Bank merged with Guaranty State Bank and Trust Company located in Beloit, Kansas, on February 15, 2019, at which point it ceased to exist as an independent entity.
