In December 1990, it acquired Liberty City State Bank in Liberty City, Texas, followed by the acquisition of The State Bank of Omaha, Texas in December 1990. The First National Bank of Atlanta in Atlanta, Texas, was acquired in January 1994, and in August 1999, the bank acquired The First National Bank of Jefferson in Jefferson, Texas. Subsequent acquisitions included Citizens State Bank in Tenaha, Texas, in March 2014, and Bloomburg State Bank in Bloomburg, Texas, in September 2016.
