The First National Bank and Trust Company is a financial institution that was established on July 1, 1882, originally named the Second National Bank of Beloit. The bank underwent a name change on February 1, 1961, becoming The First National Bank and Trust Company of Beloit. Following this, the institution relocated its main office to 345 East Grand Avenue in Beloit, Wisconsin, on September 29, 1970. In the early 2000s, the bank expanded through acquisitions, purchasing Macktown State Bank in Rockton, Illinois, on February 23, 2001, and the First National Bank of Winnebago in Winnebago, Illinois, on May 31, 2001. Subsequently, on July 2, 2001, the institution adopted its current name, The First National Bank and Trust Company.
