History Of First National Bank and Trust Company

The First National Bank and Trust Company was established on July 12, 1934, originally named The National Bank of Rochelle. Over the years, the institution underwent several significant changes, including a name change on January 20, 1976, when it became The First National Bank & Trust Company of Rochelle. On March 19, 1990, the bank's main office was relocated to 510 Lincoln Highway in Rochelle, Illinois. After operating for several decades, First National Bank and Trust Company ultimately merged with Central Bank Illinois on July 8, 2017, in Geneseo, Illinois, marking the end of its independent operations.
