The First Citizens National Bank of Upper Sandusky, originally established as The Wharton Bank on December 1, 1902, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. In 1984, the institution changed its name to The Village Bank. On April 19, 1990, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Wharton, Ohio. On July 1, 1991, the bank rebranded as The First Citizens National Bank of Upper Sandusky and moved its main office to 100 North Sandusky, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
