History Of The Farmers Bank
The Farmers Bank was established on January 1, 1902, in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Originally named The Farmers Bank, it underwent a series of changes throughout its history. On December 31, 1989, the bank's main office was relocated to Main Street in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. This was followed by another move to U.S. Highway 60 East on July 30, 1990. The bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System on March 24, 1998, and subsequently changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve on the same date. On March 10, 2005, the main office moved again, this time to 1119 Old Highway 60 East in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Eventually, on May 21, 2016, The Farmers Bank merged with and became part of The Cecilian Bank, which is based in Cecilia, Kentucky.
