The Cowboy Bank of Texas is a financial institution located in Maypearl, Texas, established on January 1, 1930, under the original name First State Bank. In its early years, the bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System on April 13, 1936, and later changed its primary regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. On December 10, 1956, the bank withdrew from the Federal Reserve System and changed its regulatory oversight to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), while also becoming a state-chartered bank. Over the years, the bank experienced changes in its location, moving its main office to Fm Highway 66 in Maypearl on August 16, 1983. On October 31, 2007, the bank relocated again to 100 Main Street in Maypearl, Texas, and officially changed its name to The Cowboy Bank of Texas.
