The Comanche National Bank was established on January 1, 1889, originally serving the community of Comanche, Texas. Over the years, the bank underwent significant changes, including a relocation of its main office to 100 East Central Street in Comanche on April 13, 1987. On February 29, 2008, the bank expanded its operations by acquiring The First National Bank of Santo in Santo, Texas. However, this period of independence came to an end when the bank merged with Spirit of Texas Bank, Ssb in College Station, Texas, on November 14, 2018. Subsequently, on April 9, 2022, The Comanche National Bank merged once again, this time becoming part of Simmons Bank based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
