The Citizens Bank of Cochran is a bank located in Cochran, Georgia, established on January 1, 1934, originally under the name Cook Banking Company. The institution underwent significant changes in 1990 when it adopted its current name and relocated its main office to 303 North East Dykes Street in Cochran. In 2003, The Citizens Bank of Cochran achieved membership in the Federal Reserve System and subsequently changed its classification to a State Chartered Bank, member of the Federal Reserve System. However, on March 14, 2007, the bank withdrew from the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Additionally, on the same date, the bank's classification was updated to a State Chartered Bank, not a member of the Federal Reserve System.
