History Of The Bank of Urbana
The Bank of Urbana was established on January 1, 1903, and originally operated under that name. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operations and locations. On April 11, 1990, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Urbana, Missouri. Subsequently, on March 31, 2006, the main office moved again to 109 North Main Street, Urbana, Missouri. After more than a century of serving the community, The Bank of Urbana merged with Oakstar Bank, based in Springfield, Missouri, on October 1, 2016. This merger marked the end of The Bank of Urbana as an independent institution.
