Over the years, it has expanded its operations, both through acquisitions and relocations. In 1988, the institution changed its name to The Bank and later, in the same year, acquired Jennings Bank in Jennings, Kansas. The bank continued its growth in the 1990s with several acquisitions, including The Bank in Oakley, Kansas, in 1991, and the State Bank of Atwood and Selden State Bank, both on January 1, 1995. The institution later acquired The Citizens State Bank in Grainfield, Kansas, on August 16, 2014, and most recently, on June 9, 2023, it acquired The Gorham State Bank in Gorham, Kansas.
