The Bank of Herrin is a financial institution located in Herrin, Illinois. It was originally established on April 12, 1904, under the name Carterville State and Savings Bank. The bank underwent several changes in location and name over the years. On December 30, 1989, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Carterville, Illinois. Subsequently, on May 27, 1997, the main office was moved again to 1001 South Division in Carterville. On February 9, 2007, the institution acquired The Bank of Herrin, moved its main office to 101 South Park Avenue in Herrin, and changed its name to The Bank of Herrin.
