Texas Regional Bank, originally established as Falfurrias State Bank on March 5, 1987, has undergone several significant changes and expansions throughout its history. In July 2010, the institution rebranded itself as Texas Regional Bank and relocated its main office from Falfurrias, Texas, to Harlingen, Texas. Following this move, the bank continued to grow, moving its main office again in August 2010 to a different location in Harlingen. In November 2013, Texas Regional Bank expanded its operations by acquiring Border Capital Bank, National Association, in McAllen, Texas. The bank further enhanced its portfolio by acquiring The Blanco National Bank in Blanco, Texas, in February 2017 and AccessBank Texas in Denton, Texas, in July 2022.
