History Of Texas Gulf Bank
Texas Gulf Bank, National Association, is a financial institution established on July 13, 1913, originally named The Freeport National Bank. The bank underwent several name changes and expansions over the subsequent decades, becoming The First Freeport National Bank on June 1, 1963, and then First Freeport National Bank on September 4, 1973, when it also changed its trust powers to full. On September 24, 1990, the institution adopted its current name, Texas Gulf Bank, National Association, and acquired several local banks, including Chemical National Bank in Clute, Texas; Coastal National Bank in Angleton, Texas; and Alvin National Bank in Alvin, Texas. The bank changed its trust powers to full status again on the same day. Texas Gulf Bank later moved its main office to 1626 South Voss Road in Houston, Texas, on June 15, 2015.
