Texas Champion Bank is a financial institution established on August 12, 1912, originally under the name Sandia State Bank. The bank has undergone several name changes and relocations over its history. On February 16, 1989, it changed its name to The Bank of Alice, and subsequently, the main office moved to 801 North Texas Boulevard in Alice, Texas, on July 24, 1989. In 1998, Texas Champion Bank expanded its operations by acquiring The Country Bank in Charlotte, Texas. The name was officially changed to Texas Champion Bank on May 2, 2005. Further growth occurred on March 1, 2006, when the bank acquired First-Nichols National Bank of Kenedy. Most recently, on April 1, 2015, the main office relocated to 6124 South Staples Street in Corpus Christi, Texas, at which time the institution name was reaffirmed as Texas Champion Bank.
