Texas Bank and Trust Company is a financial institution that was established on March 4, 1958, in Longview, Texas, under the name First State Bank of Longview. The bank underwent several name changes, becoming Longview Bank and Trust Company in 1962, and again on October 20, 1978. In 2003, the institution changed its name to Texas Bank and Trust Company. Over the years, it expanded its operations through a series of acquisitions, including Oak Forest National Bank in Longview in 1988, and multiple banks in December 2013, such as First State Bank in Overton and Lindale State Bank in Lindale. Additional acquisitions included The First National Bank of Canton on December 31, 2012, and First State Bank in Van, Texas, on October 28, 2011.
